Official: Morocco to host 2025 Africa Cup of Nations -CAF confirms
The Confederation of African Football (CAF has declared that the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) will be hosted by Morocco.
The Northern African side won the bid to host the tournament beating competition from Algeria, Morocco, Nigeria, Benin, and Zambia who had all expressed their zeal to host the 35th edition of the competition.

Consequently, a new process was re-opened for a replacement host bidder.
The new hosts have finally been revealed on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, giving Morocco a little over one year to prepare adequately for the tournament.
Morocco has hosted a number of high-profile international tournaments in recent times including the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in 2022 as well as the upcoming edition in 2024.
They have also hosted the FIFA Club World Cup and the U-2023 Africa Cup of Nations recently.
Additionally, the 2027 edition of the AFCON will also be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania
