Miracles Aboagye’s bank accounts, apartment complex, other properties frozen by High Court

The High Court in Accra has confirmed an order freezing five bank accounts and four landed properties belonging to former Executive Secretary of the Inter-Ministerial Coordinating Committee on Decentralisation (IMCCoD), Dennis Miracles Aboagye, as investigations by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) continue.
The court granted the confirmation following an application by EOCO as part of a broader asset preservation exercise involving accounts linked to the former IMCCoD Accountant, Gerald Appiah, and Hillside Piggery and Meat Processing Limited.
The frozen assets belonging to Miracles comprise five bank accounts and four landed properties, including two properties in the Eastern Region, one parcel of land and a house—as well as two residential properties in the Greater Accra Region, one of which is an apartment complex.
The confirmation order prevents any dealings with the identified assets pending the outcome of ongoing investigations.
Background
Dennis Miracles Aboagye was arrested by EOCO in July after returning to Ghana from abroad over his alleged involvement in financial and procurement-related irregularities at the IMCCoD Secretariat.
According to EOCO, the investigations stem from a petition submitted by the current Executive Secretary of IMCCoD requesting further investigations into a forensic audit covering the period between August 1, 2022, and February 2, 2025.
The anti-graft agency said the probe centres on the suspected misappropriation, misapplication, diversion and theft of about GH¢55 million in public funds.
