Parliament directs all visitors to use the ceremonial gate as the sole entry point.

Ghana’s Parliament has announced new security protocols to ensure maximum security for its members and staff.
The implementation of the new security protocols, which restrict all visitors to use the ceremonial gate as the sole entry point, takes effect immediately.
A statement issued on July 8, 2025, and signed by the Director of Media Relations, David Sebastian Damoah, explained that the new security protocols is aimed at improving safety, streamlining visitor management, and ensuring order within the precincts of Parliament House.
The statement underscored that the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin has directed that all visitors and stakeholders entering Parliament House must now use the Ceremonial Gate.
“The general public is expected to note that, upon arrival, visitors would be directed to the visitors’ centre for appropriate processing, verification, and confirmation of the purpose of their visit to the Parliament House.
Parliament further urged the public to treat the new directive with the urgency and seriousness it deserves,” portions of the statement read.
