GoldBoard Technical Committee meets Lands Minister, Armah-Kofi Buah
The GoldBoard Technical Committee, led by the Acting Managing Director of the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC), Mr. Sammy Gyamfi Esq. on Monday, February 10, 2025, presented a comprehensive policy concept for establishing the GoldBoard to the Lands and Natural Resources Minister, Mr. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah,
During the meeting, Mr. Gyamfi emphasised the committee’s readiness to collaborate with key stakeholders to present a Bill for the establishment of the GoldBoard to Parliament.
The Lands and Natural Resources Minister welcomed the initiative, affirming that the GoldBoard, a brainchild of the current government, ‘’is here to stay’’.
This development, he noted indicates the government’s commitment to advancing the country’s natural resource management while regulating the gold industry, stabilizing the cedi, and maximizing revenue from gold exports.
