NDC goes to court over Obuasi East, Ahafo Ano North, and South West parliamentary results
The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has filed an application challenging the results declared for the Obuasi East, Ahafo Ano North, and Ahafo Ano South West parliamentary elections.
The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NDC, Augustus Nana Akwasi Andrews, explained in an interview with the media that the party is in court to ensure that the true winners are declared by the Electoral Commission (EC).
According to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of NDC, his outfit is confident that their candidates will emerge victorious once the court reviews the matter.
The NDC’s application seeks to set aside the EC’s declarations regarding the Obuasi East, Ahafo Ano North, and Ahafo Ano South West seats.
The party pledged to pursue the matter until what they describe as justice is served.
