Plan Int. Ghana honoured at 35th edition of MOLE Conference Series

Plan international Ghana, a Non-Governmental humanitarian Organisation, championing the rights of children and equality for girls was honoured at the  35th edition of MOLE Conference Series held in Ho, the Volta regional capital

The honour and recognition was not just a result of Plan Int. Ghana’s good, successful and effective performance as normally expected of such an organisation but also the achievement of extraordinary outcomes that has a significant, positive impact on the delivery of sustainable WASH services for the residents. And also the massive contributions made towards the development of Coalition of NGOs in Water, and Sanitation (CONIWAS).

Plan international Ghana was among the list of distinguished individuals and deserving institutions who played various roles in the growth of CONIWAS, and its member’s activities in the WASH sector.

The honour and recognition which came in the form of a plaque and a citation read at the opening session of the 35th edition of the Mole Conference Series was received by Project Manager of IPADEV and Stronger Together projects, Mr. William Domapielle.

Mr. Domapielle, speaking to the media after the event, thanked CONIWAS’s Executive Committee members the organisers of the Mole Conference Series.

 “Plan International Ghana is humbled to receive this prestigious honour and to be recognized at the world’s longest CSOs led WASH conference for the work we have been doing throughout these years. We will continue to partner with CONIWAS and like-minded agencies to tackle WASH injustice, and poverty,” the Project Manager of IPADEV and Stronger Together projects stated.

Plan international Ghana was again acknowledged during the exhibition where the team leads of I-PADEV and Stronger Together projects display their items.

The minister of Sanitation, Water Resources Commission, Madam Lydia Sereyam Alhassan spent munities at Plan International Ghana’s exhibition booth which showcased the successes of the projects.

The 35th Mole Conference organized by CONIWAS Ghana brought together WASH champions from the academia, research organisations, traditional authorities, WASH experts, Civil Society Organisations to reflect on the government, and development partners/donors journey towards the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals Six (SDG 6).

Theme for the conference was; “Looking Back on the Implementation of SDG 6: Progress, Challenges, and Way Forward”
