Acrossfaiths Foundation launched in Accra...to promote and maintain peaceful coexistence among all faiths

The Acrossfaiths Foundation, a volunteer Nonprofit, Non-governmental Organization dedicated to fostering interfaith dialogue, understanding, and cooperation among all religious groups in Ghana has been launched in Accra-Ghana.

In a more proactive way to ensure that, Ghana does not also experience religious turmoil as most countries in the world are experiencing, the Acrossfaiths Foundation has been launched to put together a series of dialogues and activities to guard and propagate national unity ahead of the elections.

Just as its name states, the organization is made up of leaders and prominent members from the three major religions in Ghana. As spelled out during their outdooring ceremony and launch event, their mandate was to embark on various activities and dialogues that will see Ghanaians continue to live in harmony, before, during, and after the election in December 2024.

In his keynote address, the founder of the Organization, Reverend Ben Kusi expressed how fulfilling it was to wake up every morning and experience the long-standing bond between Christians, Muslims, Traditionalists, and others in the country. He stressed that Ghana remains the travel destination for many foreigners because it is rare to experience such things even in the neighboring countries.

Rev. Kusi mentioned that the Acrossfaiths Foundation is committed to bridging the gaps, breaking down barriers, and forging a global community where everyone is valued for their unique belief and practice. He also emphasized that the mission of the foundation is to create a space where people can convene and learn from one another and work collectively towards the common goals of the country.

He placed more emphasis on inclusiveness, empathy, and education as the key principles that will guide the operations of the organization. The chairman of the occasion, Alhaji Sultan Nii Nortey Caesar who doubles as the President for the Ga -Dangme Muslims Association in his opening remarks maintained that the conception of the Acrossfaiths Foundation idea and its formation is very timely as the country prepares to go to polls in December.
